Affiliate Links

Register merchant links, add recommendation cards to pages and blog posts, and route outbound clicks through first-party hops on ArtInStack.

Affiliate recommendations are marketing, not products in your catalog. Configure programs and disclosure once under SettingsIntegrationsAffiliate, build a reusable link library, then place cards or inline links in the page editor and blog. Visitors click a short redirect link on your domain; ArtInStack adds your program tracking and sends them to the merchant. Click reporting lives under AnalyticsAffiliates when your plan includes affiliates—see Dashboard analytics overview.

Prerequisites

Dashboard → SettingsIntegrationsAffiliate (Settings and Links sections)

Eligible plan with affiliate capability (tabs and library are hidden otherwise)

Supported merchant programs

ArtInStack keeps a platform merchant catalog (what you see in IntegrationsAffiliateSettingsProgram). Add link and auto-affiliate only work for merchants in that catalog. When you enter the required tracking fields for a program and save site settings, the dashboard shows it under Commission-ready programs—those links get automatic tagging on click.

Program (in Integrations)Typical merchant sitesTracking you enter in Settings
Amazon Associatesamazon.com and other Amazon retail domainsAssociate ID (tag), e.g. yoursite-20
B&H Photo Videobhphotovideo.comAffiliate BI + KBID from B&H
Adoramaadorama.comTracking / link key
Backcountrybackcountry.comNetwork tracking ID
REIrei.comNetwork tracking ID

Merchants in the catalog without credential fields in the table above can still appear as library cards, but inline auto-affiliate will not add tracking until ArtInStack ships fields for that program. Links to hosts outside the catalog stay ordinary links until support adds the merchant.

Need another retailer? Contact support with the program name and example product URL—catalog updates are platform-operated, not self-serve.

Recommended for photo and creative sites

  • Start with Amazon Associates if you write gear guides, gift lists, or “what’s in my bag” posts—broad catalog, familiar to readers.
  • Add B&H Photo Video when you link pro photo, video, or lighting SKUs—common for working photographers and educators.
  • Adorama fits the same niche as a second photo retailer when you split recommendations by brand or promo.
  • Backcountry and REI are a better match for outdoor and adventure storytelling than studio gear roundups.

You can run multiple programs at once; each needs its own credentials in Settings. Pair library Affiliate blocks (curated cards) with blog inline links only after the matching program is commission-ready.

How it works

Integrations → Affiliate → Settings: default disclosure copy for cards vs page/blog chrome, program credentials (for example Amazon Associates), optional auto-inline rules for merchant URLs you paste in the editor.

Integrations → Affiliate → Links: saved entries in your link library (merchant URL, title, image, button label, program). Add link accepts pasted merchant URLs and drafts a card before you publish.

Page editor blocks: Affiliate single and Affiliate listing let you pick library links—you do not paste raw tracking URLs into page HTML.

Blog: Affiliate embed picks a published library link; inline merchant links in the post body can auto-affiliate when that option is enabled.

On the live site: links use your domain’s redirect path so you can update program settings later without re-editing every page.

Implementation steps

  1. Open SettingsIntegrationsAffiliateSettings and confirm disclosure lines match your jurisdiction (FTC-style material-connection language).
  2. Save program credentials your networks require (site/store ids, tracking ids).
  3. Switch to LinksAdd link, paste an approved HTTPS product or search URL, review the draft card, and Save as published.
  4. In PagesEdit, drop an Affiliate single or Affiliate listing block and choose library items.
  5. For blog posts, add an Affiliate embed or enable inline auto-affiliate for vetted hosts.
  6. Publish the page or post and click through a hop in a private window to confirm redirect and disclosure.
  7. After traffic, open AnalyticsAffiliates (see Dashboard analytics overview) and compare merchants, resources, and referrers.

What you'll see

Recommendation cards on the live site with muted disclosure inside the card or in page/blog chrome. AnalyticsAffiliates shows hop counts, unique visitors, charts, and rollups by merchant and resource when the feature is enabled.

Disclosure and compliance

Use the site-wide disclosure strings from Integrations unless a row explicitly overrides copy. You remain responsible for program terms, allowed merchants, and truth-in-advertising rules in your region.

Partner link rules

Store the canonical merchant URL the program approved; tagging happens at hop time. Do not put affiliate URLs on Products checkout rows—keep commerce and recommendations separate.

Verifying your setup

  • At least one Links row is published.
  • A page or post block references that row and shows disclosure on the public site.
  • A test click records under AnalyticsAffiliates (when enabled on your plan).
