Print on Demand
ArtInStack bridges digital portfolios with physical commerce. This page outlines how your images become retail-ready products with a single click.
Print-on-demand lets visitors order physical prints from photos in your portfolios. You choose which print types and sizes you offer, connect a print partner (Prodigi or Gelato), and decide which galleries show buy print options on photo pages. The lab prints and ships; you do not pack orders yourself.
Self-shipped listings in Product Catalog work differently—see Digital vs print products. Calendars and photo books use the same print partners—see Digital product templates and delivery.

What you need on your plan
Print-on-Demand is included on some subscription tiers, not all. Open Settings → Subscription and check Included Features for Print-on-Demand. If it is not listed, upgrade your plan before the steps below—there is no separate switch to “turn on” print-on-demand in settings.
When your plan includes it, you will see Settings → E-commerce for the print catalogue and a Commerce section inside each portfolio’s Settings.
If buyers do not see print options
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| No Commerce section in portfolio Settings | Your plan may not include print-on-demand—review Subscription |
| Commerce is there but Enable Print Options is off | Turn it on for that portfolio |
| Toggle is on but a photo has no print button | Turn on Enable individual photo pages for that portfolio, or open the image from the portfolio context |
| No products in the print picker | Add and enable products under Settings → E-commerce, and connect your print partner |
Prerequisites
Settings → Subscription — confirm Print-on-Demand is included

Connect payments with Stripe before you sell live
Set up what customers can order
- Open Settings → E-commerce (only available when your plan includes print-on-demand).
- Connect Prodigi or Gelato and finish their setup prompts.
- Add print products—poster, canvas, framed print, and other templates your partner offers.
- Set your prices and which sizes are available (see Print-on-demand pricing and margin).
- Leave products enabled so they appear when someone orders from a photo.
Let buyers order from a portfolio
- Open the portfolio you want to sell from.
- Open Settings → Commerce.
- Turn on Enable Print Options so photo detail pages show print ordering.
- Optionally limit the menu to one product or show All products from your catalogue.
- If you share direct links to single images, keep Enable individual photo pages on.
- Save, then open a public photo from that portfolio and confirm print sizes appear.
Before you promote print sales
- Add the portfolio to Pages so visitors can reach your images.
- Finish Stripe setup under Settings → E-commerce so checkout works.
- Place a test order to yourself and confirm the order appears in the dashboard (see Manage orders and fulfillment).
What you'll see
On enabled photo pages, visitors pick a print type and size, pay at checkout, and receive confirmation email. The print partner fulfills the job; you track it in your orders list.
Resolution below provider minimums
Low-resolution files produce soft prints—follow the partner DPI guidelines for each product type.
International shipping
Delivery times depend on which warehouse fulfills the order; set expectations in product copy.
Verifying your setup
- Print-on-Demand appears under Included Features on Subscription.
- At least one print product is enabled in E-commerce.
- The portfolio has Enable Print Options on and a live photo page shows print choices.
- A test order completes without errors.
