What is a gallery?
Understand how portfolio galleries showcase work on ArtInStack.
Capability overview
In ArtInStack, curated image collections live under Portfolio — there is no separate Galleries item in the sidebar. A portfolio gallery groups photos for your website, client sharing, or product attachment. One upload in Media can appear in multiple portfolio collections without duplicating files.
Prerequisites
Dashboard → Portfolio (list of collections)
Source files: Dashboard → Media
Implementation steps
- Open Portfolio in the sidebar and scan existing collections.
- Open Media in another tab to see source files available for galleries.
- Note how portfolio items differ from raw Media — collections have title, cover image, and privacy settings.
- Review a public portfolio link on your site if one already exists.
- Read New Portfolio requirements for your workspace — advanced privacy options vary by plan.
- Decide whether your first gallery is public marketing work or client-only proofing.
What you'll see
You understand that Portfolio holds gallery-like collections built from Media, used on pages, client links, or products.
If Portfolio is not in your sidebar
Portfolio requires an eligible plan tier. Team members with the author role may edit Portfolio but cannot change workspace Settings — ask the workspace owner about plan access.
Verifying your setup
- You know galleries live under Portfolio, not a separate sidebar label.
- You see the difference between Media files and Portfolio collections.
- You have a use case in mind — public showcase versus client review.
