Add media to a gallery

Add photos and videos from Media into a Portfolio collection. Reorder items to control presentation sequence on the public gallery view — sequence matters when you are telling a story or leading a client through proofing favorites in order.

Prerequisites

Dashboard → Portfolio → select collection → Add media

What you're looking at

Collection editor: media grid, drag handles for reorder, remove action per item.

Add media modal: Media library picker with multi-select.

Implementation steps

1. Open Portfolio and select your collection.
2. Click Add media to open the Media picker.
3. Select multiple files and confirm addition.
4. Drag items to reorder the gallery sequence.
5. Remove any test or duplicate images.
6. Set per-image captions when your theme supports them.
7. Save the collection and preview the gallery link or embedded page block.

What you'll see

The portfolio shows curated items in your chosen order, ready for sharing or embedding on a page.

Removing items versus deleting files

Removing media from a portfolio does not delete the file from Media — the original stays in your library for other uses. Very large galleries may load slowly; split by event or deliver in chapters if clients struggle on mobile.

Verifying your setup

• At least three items added to the portfolio.
• Order reflects your intended presentation.
• Collection saved without errors.
