Documentation/Galleries and Portfolio

Create your first gallery

In Portfolio, click New Portfolio, name the collection, pick a cover image from Media, set privacy, then add photos—each gallery is a curated Portfolio collection visitors reach via public URLs, share links, or the client portal.

Create a portfolio collection with New Portfolio, set title and cover image, then add photos from Media. A clear title and cover help clients recognize the job instantly when you share the link — generic names like "Gallery 3" create unnecessary back-and-forth email.

Prerequisites

Dashboard → Portfolio → New Portfolio

What you're looking at

Portfolio list: title, cover thumbnail, item count, privacy indicator.

New Portfolio form: name, description, cover image picker, default privacy options.

Implementation steps

  1. Click Portfolio in the sidebar.
  2. Click New Portfolio.
  3. Enter a collection title — for example, "Spring Weddings 2025" or "Martinez Family Session".
  4. Choose a cover image from Media.
  5. Set initial privacy — public, unlisted, or password — based on whether this is marketing or client work.
  6. Save the new portfolio and open it for editing.
  7. Confirm the empty collection appears in the Portfolio list with the cover you selected.

What you'll see

A new portfolio collection exists with title, cover, and privacy baseline. It is ready to receive media items.

Choosing a cover image

Pick a landscape-friendly image when possible — cover thumbnails often appear in grid layouts on your site and in the Portfolio list. Duplicate titles are allowed but confuse clients; use distinct names per job.

Verifying your setup

  • New Portfolio created and saved.
  • Cover image assigned from Media.
  • Collection visible in the Portfolio list.
