Create your first gallery

In Portfolio, click New Portfolio, choose Public or Private, name the collection, then add photos—Public galleries support site pages and the CDN path; Private galleries are client-only with private storage and portal delivery.

Create a portfolio collection with New Portfolio. Step 1 asks Public or Private—that choice sets whether uploads into this collection use the public CDN path or private client storage. A clear title and cover help clients recognize the job instantly when you share access — generic names like "Gallery 3" create unnecessary back-and-forth email.

Prerequisites

Dashboard → Portfolio → New Portfolio

What you're looking at

Portfolio list: title, cover thumbnail, item count, lock icon when the collection is Private.

New Portfolio form: step 1 Public / Private, then name, description, cover, and public-page options (Public only).

Implementation steps

  1. Click Portfolio in the sidebar.
  2. Click New Portfolio.
  3. Choose Public (site and marketing) or Private (client-only storage)—see Private portfolios.
  4. Enter a collection title — for example, "Spring Weddings 2025" or "Martinez Family Session".
  5. For Public collections, choose a cover from Media and set Enable public page when you want a /portfolio/{slug} URL.
  6. Save the new portfolio and open it for editing.
  7. Add photos: Public collections can add from the library; Private collections expect upload into this gallery.

What you'll see

A new portfolio collection exists with title and the Public/Private choice you made. Private collections show a lock and stay off the page builder.

Choosing Public vs Private

Use Public for work you may embed on pages or publish as a portfolio URL. Use Private for proofs, NDA work, and delivery masters that must stay off the public CDN. Details: Private portfolios.

Verifying your setup

  • New Portfolio created and saved.
  • Public vs Private matches the job.
  • Collection visible in the Portfolio list (lock when Private).
