Events Overview

Events Manager runs workshops and sessions with free RSVP or paid tickets when your plan includes events—create events from the sidebar module, sell tickets through Digital Products, and manage registrations alongside courses in the client portal.

Capability overview

Events Manager runs workshops, webinars, and in-person sessions alongside async courses. You publish an event, accept free RSVPs or paid tickets, and manage sessions and capacity from one place. Events require the events capability on your plan—if Events Manager is missing from the sidebar, check Subscription before troubleshooting the UI.

Workshop photographers who sell through the main storefront or need portal replays also create an Event Access or Workshop digital product—see Events as a product.

Prerequisites

Dashboard → Events Manager

Storefront / portal tickets: Events as a product

Plan check: Dashboard → Settings → Subscription

Implementation steps

  1. Confirm Events Manager appears in the left sidebar after sign-in.
  2. If it is absent, open Settings → Subscription and compare your tier to https://www.artinstack.com/pricing.
  3. Open Events Manager and scan upcoming versus past events.
  4. Note registration modes available to you: free RSVP versus paid ticket (paid requires Stripe).
  5. Decide how events complement courses—live Q&A for async students, in-person workshops, etc.
  6. Open a sample public event URL on your site to see the visitor-facing registration page.
  7. Verify Stripe connection under Settings → E-commerce if you plan to sell tickets.
  8. If you need cart checkout or portal access after payment, add a digital product per Events as a product.

What you'll see

You know whether events are on your plan, how registration works, and where Events Manager fits next to courses and Portal Manager. Paid events remain blocked until Stripe is connected.

Verifying your setup

  • Events Manager access is confirmed—or you know which plan unlocks it.
  • You understand free RSVP versus paid registration.
  • Stripe status is verified when selling tickets.
