Create a Course

Create a course and set core details on ArtInStack.

Start with a course shell—title, description, cover image, and draft status—before you build modules. Buyers should not land on an empty curriculum, so keep the course in draft until the first module is ready.

Prerequisites

Course admin → create course (from Portal Manager or the courses dashboard when enabled)

Cover image: Dashboard → Media

What you're looking at

Course form: title, slug, description, cover image, price or access tier, publish toggle.

Implementation steps

  1. Open course management and click create course.
  2. Enter the course title and a marketing description.
  3. Upload a cover image from Media.
  4. Set a readable slug such as /courses/lighting-101.
  5. Leave status as draft while you build content.
  6. Save the course shell.
  7. Open the course editor to add modules in the next article.

What you'll see

An empty course record with metadata and cover, ready for curriculum work.

Publishing too early

Live courses without lessons frustrate buyers—publish only after module one exists.

Changing the slug later

Enrolled students may have bookmarked the old URL—set the slug before you announce enrollment.

Verifying your setup

  • Course exists with title, description, and cover.
  • Status remains draft during build.
  • Course editor is open for adding modules next.
