Add Modules and Lessons
Build course content with modules and lessons on ArtInStack.
Modules group your course into chapters; lessons are the individual teaching units inside each module. Students progress module by module, so the order you set here becomes their learning path. Build curriculum after your course shell exists so title, cover, and slug are already in place.
Prerequisites
Dashboard → Portal Manager → open your course → course editor
Add structure: Add module → Add lesson
What you're looking at
Curriculum tree: modules with expand/collapse; each lesson shows a type icon (video, text, file).
Lesson editor: title, body, video embed or upload, attachments from Media.
Drag handles: reorder modules and lessons without recreating content.
Implementation steps
- Open your draft course in the course editor (from Portal Manager or your courses list).
- Click Add module and name Module 1 with a clear chapter title (e.g. "Exposure fundamentals").
- Under Module 1, click Add lesson and choose lesson type—video, text, or file download.
- For a video lesson, upload a file or paste an embed URL; for text, write in the lesson body.
- Attach a PDF or preset from Media when students need a downloadable workbook.
- Repeat for additional modules—duplicate structure where chapters follow the same pattern.
- Drag modules and lessons into teaching order using the curriculum tree handles.
- Save the curriculum and use student preview (if available) before publishing lessons.
What you'll see
Your course shows an ordered curriculum with at least one module containing populated lessons. Each saved lesson retains its type, attachments, and position in the tree.
Verifying your setup
- At least one module exists with two or more lessons.
- Lesson content is saved (video, text, or file—not empty placeholders).
- Module and lesson order matches your intended teaching sequence.
