Email marketing overview
Email Center sends newsletters and announcements to people who subscribed on your site. Transactional email, such as order receipts and invitations, is not a campaign. Pro Portfolio and above include a monthly number of marketing emails.
Capability overview
People subscribe from your blog sidebar or site footer. Those addresses are your studio's list. Email Center is where you choose who hears from you, write the message, and schedule it.
This is not a fundraising campaign. Donation campaigns stay under Products.
Marketing email and transactional email
Marketing email is a message you write and schedule. Transactional email goes out on its own when something happens in your studio, such as an order, an invitation, or a signature. Leaving your subscriber list stops marketing email only.
| Marketing email | Transactional email | |
|---|---|---|
| Who writes it | You, in Email Center | ArtInStack, when the action happens |
| Who receives it | People who subscribed on your site | The client, teammate, or signer that action is for. A purchase does not add them to your list |
| List | Only people still subscribed. How someone leaves the list is on Newsletter subscriptions | These messages keep going after someone leaves your list |
| Sender | Your studio name. A reply comes to your studio | Messages to clients use your studio name, and a reply comes to your studio. Mail about your own account, such as a password reset, stays ArtInStack |
| Branding | Your words and pictures | Your studio name. Starter still includes an ArtInStack line. Portfolio and above leave that line off, the same plans that remove platform branding on your site |
| Plan | Pro Portfolio, Teams, Creator, and Master, with a monthly number of emails | Included with the feature that sends it. It does not use your monthly marketing number |
Messages ArtInStack already sends for your studio:
| When | What goes out |
|---|---|
| You invite a client | Portal invitation and access code |
| You invite a teammate | Team invitation |
| Someone buys from you | Purchase welcome, digital download, donation receipt, or print-shipped notice |
| You offer a free download | Download message |
| You request payment | Payment request |
| Someone registers for an event, volunteers, or sends an RSVP | Registration or signup mail |
| You send a release | Release request, signing code, and confirmation |
| A client finishes an album review | Album reviewed |
Mail about your account stays ArtInStack: password reset, a contact-form inquiry (the reply goes to the visitor), and comment notifications. Those are not campaigns, and they are not branded as your studio.

Start with Newsletter subscriptions. You are ready to send when a test signup is on the list, a segment count matches the people you mean, and a campaign is scheduled.
