Enable or Disable MFA
Set up multi-factor authentication for stronger security on ArtInStack.
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds a second step after your password—usually a code from an authenticator app. Enable it on the owner account before teammates access Portal Manager client data. Store backup codes offline; losing both device and codes may require support identity verification.
Prerequisites
Dashboard → General or Settings → Privacy & security → Enable MFA / 2FA
What you're looking at
MFA setup: QR code for authenticator app, one-time verification code field, backup codes download, enable/disable toggle.
Implementation steps
- Install an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, etc.).
- Open General or Settings → Privacy & security.
- Start MFA enrollment and scan the QR code with your app.
- Enter the verification code to confirm pairing.
- Download or copy backup codes and store them offline securely.
- Sign out and sign in once with password plus MFA code to test the flow.
- To disable, return to the same screen and use Disable MFA (owner accounts only—keep MFA on for admins).
What you'll see
Login requires MFA when enabled. Backup codes work if you lose the phone; without codes, account recovery goes through support.
Verifying your setup
- MFA enabled and tested on login.
- Backup codes stored securely offline.
- Team policy notes whether MFA is required for Portal Manager access.
