FAQ: Page editor and site appearance

Image Gallery vs Image Portfolio blocks, Before/After slider setup, and search/social preview icons on ArtInStack.

Common questions about Pages blocks and how your brand appears in browsers and search.

What is the difference between an Image Gallery block and an Image Portfolio block?

BlockImages come fromBest for
Image GalleryHand-picked stills in MediaEditorials, “best of” grids, mixed selects
Image PortfolioOne Portfolio collectionClient galleries, proofing, paginated series with consistent layout

Image Portfolio follows changes inside that portfolio. Image Gallery only changes when you edit the block’s image list. More detail: Portfolio delivery media blocks, Add media to pages.

How do I set up a Before/After comparison slider?

  1. Pages → edit page → add Before/After Slider (Advanced interactive media blocks).
  2. Set aspect ratio (e.g. 16:9).
  3. Pick top = before and bottom = after from Media.
  4. Use two images with the same framing so the wipe looks natural.
  5. Save, publish, and test the drag handle on the live page.

Why is my Google search result showing a default circle placeholder icon instead of my logo?

Browsers and search use different assets:

What you seeWhere to set it
Tab icon (favicon)SettingsGeneralFavicon (square image from Media)
Link preview imagePer page or blog post SEO / OG image fields
Site brandingSettingsGeneral logo and favicon

Google may cache old icons for days or weeks. After updating, publish and use Google Search Console to request re-indexing if you use it. A gray circle usually means no favicon yet, a non-square file, or the crawler has not refreshed.

My block looks correct in the editor but wrong on the live site—why?
