Dashboard notifications

Use the notification bell for pending actions, order alerts, and platform reminders on ArtInStack.

The bell icon in the dashboard header is your in-app alert center. It complements email preferences in Settings—see Notification preferences for which events also email you.

What the bell shows

  • An unread count badge when something needs attention.
  • A list grouped by Today, Yesterday, and Older.
  • Severity styling—informational (blue), success (green), warning (amber), error (red).

Notifications refresh while you work (about once a minute) and when you return to the tab.

Titles are written in plain language (for example Order failed, Payment failed, Verify your email, Fulfillment failed).

How to act on a notification

  1. Click the bell.
  2. Read the title and message.
  3. Click the row to mark it read and, when provided, go to the linked page (order settings, verification, etc.).
  4. Use Mark all read when you have cleared the list.

Unread items stay until you open them or mark all read. Some older items may expire automatically per platform policy.

Pending work beyond the bell

The bell is not the only place to spot outstanding tasks:

AreaWhat to check
Portal ManagerOverviewPending client invitations
SettingsE-commerceStripe Continue setup if payouts are not enabled
SettingsSubscriptionPlan limits or failed billing
Events ManagerUpcoming sessions nearing capacity

Treat the bell as time-sensitive alerts; use module overviews for day-to-day queues.

Email vs in-app

Enable email for revenue-critical events under SettingsGeneral (notification preferences). In-app bell entries can still appear even when email is off—check both during launch week.
