Template manager

Open Settings → Header & Footer, pick a header or footer template, click Edit to change layout in the template editor, Save, and every page using that template updates unless Page Settings overrides chrome for a single URL.

Use this page as a short task checklist for header and footer templates. For full-page presets, placeholders, and how templates connect to Page Settings, read Working with page templates.

Prerequisites

Dashboard → Settings → Header & Footer

Implementation steps

  1. Open Settings → Header & Footer.
  2. Click Edit on the header or footer you need.
  3. Adjust layout on the scoped canvas—use Presets and Header/Footer Elements blocks (see Header, footer, and navigation).
  4. Save the template.
  5. Set the site default header/footer if the UI offers it.
  6. Open a live page and confirm chrome updated.

Before wide changes

Shared templates affect every page that uses them—check homepage and one interior URL before publish.
