Publish and Update Blog Posts

Publishing moves a post onto your Blog Page index and its own permalink. You can go live now or schedule a future time. Updates use the same Edit Post flow—save, refresh the public URL, and confirm the index still lists the article.

Prerequisites

Dashboard → Posts → select post → Edit Post

Index must be live: Dashboard → Pages → Blog Page → Edit → Publish

What you're looking at

Posts list: draft, scheduled, or published status, date, category, Edit action.

Edit Post header: Publish (with a schedule menu when you can publish), plus Save and review actions when your team uses them.

Edit Post → Settings → Publishing: status and publish date for scheduled or published posts.

Implementation steps

1. Open your draft from Posts → Edit Post.
2. Proofread title, body, and outbound links.
3. To go live immediately, click Publish in the header (when shown).
4. To publish later, open the menu next to Publish, choose Schedule…, pick the date and time, and confirm. The post status becomes Scheduled and goes live automatically at that time—you do not need to return and click Publish.
5. Confirm the Blog Page on Pages is published and includes a listing block.
6. Open the post permalink on your public site after it is published (or after the scheduled time).
7. For later edits, return to Edit Post, change content, save, and hard-refresh the live page.
8. Revert to draft temporarily if you need to retract a post without deleting it.

What you'll see

Published posts appear on the blog index and at stable URLs. Edits update content in place when the slug stays the same. Scheduled posts stay off the public index until the chosen time.

Changing the slug after publish

Old links break. Set the slug carefully under Edit Post → Settings before you share widely.

Scheduled publishing

Use the Publish control’s schedule menu (Schedule…). While a post is scheduled you can Reschedule… (new date/time) or Unschedule (returns it to draft). You can also set status to Scheduled and the publish date under Settings → Publishing, then Save. At the scheduled time the post becomes Published on its own.

Publish on a scheduled post still publishes immediately if you need to go live early.

Verifying your setup

• The post is published and visible on the index or permalink—or shows as Scheduled with the correct time until then.
• The Blog Page itself is published.
• You tested a small edit and confirmed it on the live site.
