Press and Features
Use the Press & Features block on a page to curate outbound links to magazines, podcasts, and awards—visitors browse external coverage without a Post per URL; use Blog listing for articles you publish on your own site.
Use Press & Features when you want visitors to browse off-site coverage—magazine articles, podcast features, award listings, or partner spotlights—without writing a full blog post for each link. Your on-site articles still live in Posts and appear through the Blog listing block; this block is for curated external URLs.
When to use it
| Use Press & Features | Use Blog listing instead |
|---|---|
| Link out to a publication that wrote about you | List articles you published on your own site |
| Mix several outlets on one About or Press page | Power your main /blog index from Posts |
| Keep titles and thumbnails from the original article | Control body copy, categories, and SEO per post |
Examples by role
Different roles, same block—you highlight outbound links visitors should see. Frame the section with your own heading (for example “As seen in”, “Resources”, or “Tools I use”).
| Role | Example |
|---|---|
| Photographer | Featured on NatGeo |
| Filmmaker | Featured in festivals |
| Artist | Featured in magazines |
| Writer | Published on external publications |
| Designer | Showcased on Behance |
| Educator | Sharing useful resources |
| Creator | Sharing favorite tools |
One block, many meanings
One versatile block for all your external curation needs—media coverage, gear recommendations, or reading lists.. Add one Press & Features block per section and write the heading in normal page copy (for example a Rich text block above the cards).
Press page → "Featured In" → [ NatGeo ] [ Adobe ] [ NANPA ]
Resources page → "Photography Resources" → [ Lightroom ] [ DxO ] [ Topaz ]
Reading list → "Recommended Reading" → [ Article ] [ Article ] [ Article ]
| Page you are building | Heading above the block | Typical links |
|---|---|---|
| Press page | Featured In | Outlets and organizations that featured your work |
| Resources page | Photography Resources (or similar) | Tools, presets, and sites you recommend |
| Reading list | Recommended Reading | Articles and essays worth bookmarking |
Prerequisites
Dashboard → Pages → page to edit (About, Press, or homepage)
Block location: Page Editor → right sidebar → Blocks → Publications → Press & Features
What you're looking at
Drag Press & Features into a column. Select the block and open Attr in the right sidebar. One panel controls the whole block and whichever link row you expand.
Each card shows a thumbnail, title, optional description, and optional source label (for example natgeo.com). Cards use your site theme colors and open the external URL when clicked.
Add your first links
- Open Pages, Edit the target page, and switch to Page Editor.
- From Blocks → Publications, drag Press & Features into a column.
- With the block selected, scroll Attr to External URL.
- Paste a full https:// link and click Add.
- ArtInStack fetches a preview (title, description, image, and source domain) when the site allows it.
- Expand Link 1 (or any row) to adjust title, description, source label, or thumbnail URL by hand.
- Click Choose from library on a row to replace the preview image with one from Media.
- Repeat for each mention you want on the page.
- Save Page and publish when the live page should show the grid.
HTTPS URLs are required for the automatic preview. If preview fails, the link is still added—fill in title and image manually.
Layout and display options
All layout controls are in Attr while the Press & Features block is selected.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Layout | Grid, List, Carousel, or Masonry |
| Columns | 1–4 columns ( Grid and Masonry only ) |
| Gap | Space between cards in pixels |
| Open in new tab | When on, visitors open external links in a new browser tab (default on) |
| Show source domain | Show or hide the outlet label under each title |
List stacks cards vertically with a wide thumbnail on the left. Carousel scrolls horizontally. Grid and Masonry tile cards; masonry uses varied row heights for a editorial collage feel.
Edit or remove a link
Under Links, each row summarizes one card. Click a row to expand it, edit fields, or select that card on the canvas. Use the minus control on a row to remove a link. Reorder is not in the panel—remove and re-add if you need a different sequence.
Common placements
- About or Press page dedicated to media coverage
- Homepage band below your hero (“As seen in…”)
- Services page sidebar showing industry recognition
Pair with Manage your blog index page when you run both original articles and external mentions.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What to check |
|---|---|
| Preview says unavailable | Site may block scrapers; enter title and thumbnail manually or pick from Media |
| Wrong or missing image | Expand the link row and set Thumbnail URL or Choose from library |
| Cards look cramped | Raise Gap or reduce Columns on grid/masonry |
| Visitor stays on your site when clicking | Turn on Open in new tab |
| Block not in panel | Look under Publications, not Basic or Advanced |
Verifying your setup
- Press & Features block is on a published page.
- Each card opens the correct external URL.
- Thumbnails and titles read well on mobile preview.
- Source labels match the outlets you expect when Show source domain is on.
