Documentation/Client Delivery

Prepare client access

Before inviting a client, create the Portfolio gallery, Media resources, or course they will receive—Portal Manager → Invite Client and portal-enabled products reference existing assets; they do not upload files on their own.

Before you invite a client or sell a portal-enabled product, assemble what they will receive—a Portfolio gallery for proofing, Media marked as client resources, or a published course. Portal invitations and product portal widgets reference these assets; they do not upload files by themselves. See Client delivery overview for how portal access is assigned after purchase or invitation.

Prerequisites

Gallery: Dashboard → Portfolio → create or edit collection

Resources: Dashboard → Media (client resource flag when available)

Courses: Dashboard → Portal Manager or courses dashboard when enrolled clients need learning access

What you're looking at

Portfolio collection: images/videos, sort order, privacy defaults, download toggles.

Invite Client (next step): links a access type to one of these assets.

Implementation steps

  1. Create or open the Portfolio collection for this client job (or prepare course/resource content).
  2. Add media from Media; order assets for proofing flow.
  3. Set collection-level privacy and download defaults (you can tighten further via invitation grant).
  4. Write client-facing title and description on the collection.
  5. Publish or keep private until the invitation sends—match your studio policy.
  6. Open Portal Manager → Invitations and note the collection ID/name for the invite form.
  7. Proceed to Send files to a client or Invite clients to portal.

What you'll see

A ready gallery or resource set you can link from Invite Client. No separate “delivery package” object—access is granted through portal entitlements or share links.

Verifying your setup

  • Portfolio (or course/resource) contains the correct files.
  • Naming matches the client and job.
  • You know which access type you will use on the invitation.
